CCUM is responsible for the needs in energy of a third of downtown Montreal’s commercial surfaced areas, and operates three distinctive networks to deliver heating and air conditioning to these buildings.
Our network is 3 km long and disserves close to 18 millions square foot of varied surfaces, the equivalent of 300 football fields.
In addition to answering the needs for thermal energy, air conditioning and ice water in many prestigious buildings of the downtown area, CCUM also provides the Cité du Multimédia. Office towers, boutiques, hotels, stations, computer rooms, universities and residential lofts, also benefit from our extensive network.
The near total of our conduits are accessible at all times. This facilitates immensely the inspection and the maintenance of our network and encourages preventive measures that are key to its robust reliability.
